Marty Rivers nominated for Best Male Artist
Marty has been nominated for Best Male Artist in the Malta Music Awards. The ceremony will take place at the MFCC, Malta on the 26th November. He's also going to perform one of his latest songs during the event.

Midnight Sky # 4 on the hotdisc charts
The title track of the album 'Midnight Sky' went straight in at number 4 on the European Hotdisc Country Top 40 charts; The song was released as a radio single on the Rush compilation cd and also on the Hillcrest compilation.
These are the words of Stuart Cameron of Hotdisc:
"Marty is Malta's king of country music and ever since his first public appearance at 13 he's been building a career which now puts him among the best performers in Europe. His current album "Midnight Sky" is being very well received and it's the title track from that which is released as his new single. This is his third album and Marty is being not only accepted as a singer but also as a writer".

Marty's new album 'Midnight Sky' was officially launched at the Murphy's in Qawra where a number of radio djs and media people attended the event; accompanied by a 5 piece band, Marty performed 3 songs from the album which was followed by the screening of a video.

“Run angel Run” on the Hotdisc Top 40 charts
The first single release from Marty’s upcoming album went up to number 8 on the hotdisc top 40 Charts after entering the top 10 a week earlier at number 10; The song, recorded in Nashville at GC Studios, was co-written by Marty himself and released on hotdisc last April.

Topping the International Country Gospel Music Charts
The gospel single 'The Lord is comin Soon' made it all the way to the number 1 spot on the international Country Gospel Music Charts for the month of November according to the GTE Music Magazine.
It also went up to number 3 on the American Country Gospel Top 80 for the month of November.
The song was written by Marty himself along with Joe Spiteri and was originally recorded for Marty's debut 'self-titled' album. It was released worldwide to Gospel radio stations by Glory Train Records, based in Livingston, Tennessee.

June was a very interesting month for Marty where he spent the whole month performing in various venues all over Nashville; He was invited to perform at the World Famous BB King’s for the CMA Fest; His dynamic performance took everyone by surprise; Then he performed in other renowned places around Nashville including the legendary Bluebird Café, the Douglas Corner, the Hall of Fame Lounge, the French Quarters, the Commodore and the Legends Corner on Broadway; He also took part in the Nashville Songwriters Fest, where he performed for 3 days right in the heart of Music Row;
